Individualised Learning at Kia Mena
At Kia Mena, we understand that every child is unique, with their own blossoming personality, learning style, and interests. Our approach is centered around recognising and nurturing these individual qualities to help each child thrive.
My Montessori Child also enables us to share information with parents in a constructive and sensitive way, helping you understand and appreciate your child’s developmental progress while preserving their emerging sense of independence.Parents have an individual secure log in and are able to have direct contact with their child’s teacher.
Settling in Sessions
Your child’s journey with us begins with a complimentary one-hour settling-in session. This is a special opportunity for your child to meet their key teacher, explore the pre-school, and begin to feel comfortable in their new environment. Each child is assigned a key teacher and a group colour, which they remain with throughout their time at Kia Mena. This creates strong, lasting relationships between children and their teachers, allowing them to grow together.
Our groups are mixed-age, which offers older children the chance to nurture and teach younger peers, while the younger children benefit from observing and learning from their older counterparts.
Personalised Learning
Each child is given a book bag containing a sound book and a number book. Working individually with their teacher, children learn at their own pace, without pressure or expectations. As they progress and show interest, children can move on to word building, reading, writing, and advancing their maths skills.
We recognise that every child is different, and we partner with you to ensure they reach their full potential. Whether through our resources or by referring to outside support when needed, we are here to support each child’s unique learning journey.
