Fees

We provide government-funded places - 2-year-old funding, universal 15 hours and extended entitlement (30 hours).  All funded sessions are in line with the Government's Statutory Guidance and Local Authority requirements.

The fees payable from September 2019 to September 2020 are as follows:

Children under 3

The fee for children up to the term of their 3rd birthday is £20.54 per 3¼ hour session.

Under the 2-year-old funding scheme, up to 570 hours, a year may be available for children where their parents meet certain criteria.  This is offered at a rate of 2.65 hours per session across the 43 weeks that we are open up to a maximum of 5 sessions per week - either morning or afternoon. A charge of £6.00 is made for the remainder of each 3¼ session.

Children from the term after their 3rd birthday

All children are eligible for the universal Free Entitlement from the term after their 3rd birthday.  At Kia Mena, this is available for 2.65 hours per session for up to 5 sessions a week, 43 weeks per year.  The parents whose children receive funding and attend for the full 3¼ HOURS will pay £9.30 for the additional time.

An additional 2.65 hours funding per session for the remaining 5 sessions a week is available to parents who meet the required criteria. This extended entitlement needs to be applied for by parents through the website - www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.  As with the universal funding, parents whose children receive funding and attend for the full 3¼ HOURS will pay £9.30 for the additional time.

Where parents are not eligible for the additional funding, children who attend more than 5 sessions per week will be charged £20.54 for each additional session.

Parents wishing to take funded and funded only sessions will be entitled to do this from 9.15 am - 11.55 am and 1.50 pm - 4.30 pm.

As an alternative, Parents wishing their children to attend just morning or afternoon sessions (a minimum of three per week) will receive funding as follows.  These sessions will include lunchtime sessions:

Morning sessions will run from 9.15 - 1.15 with 3.75 hours funded and a fee of £8.70 per session.  Children will need to bring a packed lunch.

Afternoon sessions will run from 12.30 - 4.30 with 3.75 hours funded and a fee of £8.70 per session.  Children will need to bring a packed lunch.

The pre-school will not offer funded only sessions on this model and children that are only eligible to receive the universal Free Entitlement can only be funded in this way for 3 sessions a week.

Breakfast club costs £9.50 per session and will only run where there is a minimum of two children attending.

Lunches are charged at £4.75 per session (children bring their own packed lunch).
